MM2 of The Locust

Home / Deleted?

Did it get deleted?

It was unreachable for most of a day and it is back now. Nobody has said why.

Short answer

Playable again, with 1,107 in a round. While it was down the game answered every visitor — including signed-in ones — with “Content not accessible”, and it vanished from Roblox search. If a link you have still fails, check it against the real one before assuming the game is gone.

What the outage actually looked like

Not a slow decline. One moment it was running a normal evening with tens of thousands of people in rounds and climbing; the next, every way of reaching it failed at once:

  • The experience page stopped loading and redirected to a “Title Unavailable” address.
  • Signed-in accounts got Content not accessible, so this was never a case of needing to log in.
  • It disappeared from Roblox search entirely — searching its own name returned other games.
  • Roblox’s public data for it returned a placeholder: no title, no description, every counter zero.

Votes kept answering the whole time, which is how you could tell the experience still existed rather than having been erased. Then it came back, with the same place link working again.

The one thing that visibly changed

The store description is not the same as it was before. Two things left it — the PRE-ALPHA VERSION (expect bugs) line and the note about improvements coming in the next update — and one line arrived that had never been there:

Locust inspiration from DoctorNowhere

The Locust is not this game’s invention. It is a creature from Doctor Nowhere’s analog horror, and its defining behaviour there — coming at people through a screen — is the same entrance it makes at the start of a round here. House of The Locust, the other game built on the same creature, has credited him in its own description all along. This one did not, until it came back.

That is a clue, not a causeUnverified

An attribution line appearing on the way back is suggestive and it is the only visible change. It is not a reason: the developers have published nothing about the outage — no announcement, and the creator group of nearly thirty thousand members has no shout on it. Anybody telling you confidently why this happened is filling in a blank that the people who know have left empty.

The copies are the real hazard

While the game was unreachable, searching its exact name on Roblox returned other experiences using the same title, rated far below this one’s 83% and carrying a fraction of the players. A player who could not find the real one and clicked the nearest match was landing in a copy.

The way to tell them apart is not the name, which anybody can reuse. It is the creator: the real one belongs to THE STALKERS OG and sits on place 113385977463481. If the group name on the store page is different, it is a different game — the same test that separates this from House of The Locust.

What it cost

A lot of players. The concurrent count had been in the tens of thousands and rising into the outage; it came back in the low thousands. Whether that recovers is the thing worth watching, and it is the honest caveat on every “this game is huge right now” claim written before it happened, this site’s included.
