MM2 of The Locust

House of The Locust is a different game

If you searched for one and landed in the other, that is normal — the two share a monster, a look and half a name, and they came out eight days apart. They are made by different studios and they play differently.

Where the monster came from

Neither game invented it. House of The Locust credits the character to DoctorNowhere in its own store description, and both games are builds around a creature that already existed. That is why a search for the Locust turns up several unrelated Roblox experiences rather than one canonical game — nobody owns the monster, so several teams built on it at once.

Telling them apart in one line

If the round opened with a role spin and somebody in your lobby became the monster, you are in MM2 of The Locust. If you woke up somewhere and the Locust was already hunting everyone with no roles handed out, you are in House of The Locust.

Which one is bigger

It depends what you count. House of The Locust has been visited far more times and sits on many more favourites — it launched first and had a head start. On concurrent players the two trade places, and the MM2 version has spent stretches of the last week ahead. Neither is a ghost town, and both are labelled pre-alpha by their own developers, so expect either to change under you.

Does anything carry across?

Nothing mechanical. Separate games mean separate progress, and keys picked up here do not exist there. What does transfer is instinct: the monster is faster than you in both, and in both the answer is breaking line of sight rather than out-running it.
