Roles

The round opens with the role spin Murder Mystery 2 players will recognise. It deals two roles, not three, and that single missing card changes everything downstream.

Innocent

Stay alive until the timer runs out.

You get no weapon and no way to fight back. Your entire toolkit is positioning, the heartbeat cue and the map. Most of the lobby draws this every round, which is why the survival page is the one worth reading first.

Murderer

Kill everyone before the timer runs out.

You do not get a knife — you become the Locust. You spawn inside the television, break out through the screen, and hunt with the speed and the energy bar described on the monster page. Recorded runs also show an option to pay Robux for the slot rather than wait for the spin, with more than one creature available.

The third role does not exist

No sheriff, no gun, no way for the lobby to fight back. Two separate recordings show players searching for one and slowly working it out mid-round. If you are waiting for someone to shoot the thing, you are waiting for the timer instead — you may as well spend that time moving.

Nights, not rounds

The HUD counts what you have cleared in nights and starts at zero, which is what makes players expect a Five Nights structure on their first go. It is simpler than that: each round survived is a night, and the counter is the only score the mode keeps.
